1. Commencement of Hire.
All bookings are from 3.00pm on Saturday and the property must be vacated
by 10.00am on the Saturday that the period ends. You are asked to please
leave the property clean and tidy.
2. Deposit/Full payment.
A deposit of £50.00 per week is payable when booking unless the booking
is being made within 6 weeks of the holiday commencement date when the full
amount of the hire charge is payable. You may however make a provisional
booking by telephone / e-mail, and this will be held for a maximum of seven
days.
The balance is payable not later than 6 weeks before the commencement date.
If the balance is not received by the owners by the due date the deposit
will be forfeited and the accommodation re-let.
3. Cancellation.
Once a booking has been confirmed in writing and the deposit paid, the hirer
is liable for the whole amount of the rent for the period booked.
If written notice of cancellation is received every effort will be made to
re-let the cottage for the period booked, and if a new let is arranged then
only the deposit will be forfeit. If the cottage cannot be re-let then both
the deposit and the balance payable will be forfeit.
4. Availability.
The booking is made on the understanding that the cottage will be placed
at the hirer's disposal on the date stated. Should this not be possible through
fire, theft, or circumstances beyond the owners control the full amount paid
by the hirer will be refunded but no alternative accommodation can be provided
nor will the hirer have any claim against the owner for compensation or expenses.
The accommodation is booked strictly on the basis that it is used for holiday
accommodation only and there is no right to remain on the property after
the expiration of the rental period.
5. Breakages.
An inventory of furniture fittings and contents is displayed on the property.
The hirer undertakes to keep the cottage and all the furniture, fittings
and contents in the same state of repair and condition as at the commencement
of the letting. Any breakages should be replaced with similar articles of
at least equal value and please notify the owners. Alternatively please pay
the owners for the damage caused.
6. Occupation.
The hirer shall use the accommodation strictly for private holiday occupation
and shall not do or allow to be done anything which may become a nuisance
or annoyance to the occupiers of the neighbouring properties. The hirer shall
not allow any person or persons to sleep in or otherwise occupy the accommodation
except as specified on the Booking Form.
7. Repairs.
The hirer shall permit the owner to enter the accommodation at any reasonable
time of day to inspect the condition of the decorations or for the purpose
of carrying out any repairs that may require to be done.
8. Acceptance of Booking.
The owners reserve the right to refuse any booking without having to give
any reason for such decision.
